Bio

   Justin Philip Nash operates throughout the San Francisco Bay Area as a pianist and music educator. In May of 2014, Mr. Nash was conferred the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Music, Performance and Literature from Mills College. He also holds a BA in Music from Humboldt State University (2008), where he studied with Dr. Deborah Clasquin. He is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California, Alameda County Branch and studies piano performance with Dr. Lynne Garrett of Santa Maria.

   From 2008-2010 he studied piano pedagogy with Jeanette Munroe, director of the Folsom Piano Academy. Ms. Jeanette’s lessons remain a primary influence in Mr. Justin’s teaching, especially for beginners.

In Masterclass setting, Justin has received performance instruction from legendary pianists such as Menahem PresslerLeon FleisherRobert Durso and Peter Takács, to name a few.

  From 2012 – 2014 Mr. Justin lead group theory and piano classes at the renowned Oakland Public Conservatory under the direction and tutelage of Angela Wellman.

   Mr. Justin currently teaches at Saint Cecilia Catholic School in Parkside, San Francisco and maintains a private studio in the East Bay.
